I am finding that the biggest problem I am having with my WVO experimentation is filtering the used, dirty oil in sufficient quantities without  the need for a lot of work or mess on my part.

It is no problem to filter WVO to 5 microns when doing 5 gallon batches and spending an hour or so to do it.  This method is unsustainable in the long run, and so I am in pursuit of an inexpensive solution to allow the automated processing of larger (55 gallon) batch quantities of WVO.

While this may seem like a trivial task, you will find that filtering the large volume of sub 200 micron "slime" in say 50 gallons of oil, is far more than the capacity of any traditional filter I have been able to find.

This page will be my place to document the many failed attempts at 50 gallon batch filtering, as well as hopefully posting my solution.

Here is a picture of a typical pickup from two restaurants which I do once a week.  I am currently not
burning more than 10 gallons of WVO a week, so I am developing a surplus.  Once I get the burner
converted to WVO, I will need to increase my weekly "score" of oil substantially.

If you think this looks good, you should try wearing some!
