K, now we need to figure where to put the final heat exchanger and the heated oil filter.  I got some raw aluminum peices from the hardware store - steel was too heavy, and I wanted to honor my aluminum heads too!

Ahh a perfect spot.  Already screw holes waiting for me

Here is the heat exchanger with the first coat of red.  Note the aluminum L bracket.

OK, that seems to fit nicely...   I am so glad I painted it red.  Grey just is not that fun!

First look at the engine beginning to look a little "different"

Oooh.... Aaaahhhh

Now the heated filter...

I need to be able to change the filter easily, so I need clearance.  After some going back and forth,
I decided on this location.

I needed to remove the ABS system a bit to make room for the bolts and lock washers.

I used only Aluminum for my brackets because I wanted to honor the German's love for
this metal.  It is light, and cheap enough in small quantities.

After measuring once and cutting twice several times, I got working just fine!  below is the
heated filter and it is going nowhere!!

I can change the filter simply by unscrewing it.
Note that I ended up changing the orientation of the inlet and outlet of this filter later in the process.
This was to allow a better path for the fluids.
